NIZZA DOCG RISERVA

A ruby-red wine with garnet highlights. An intense and complex nose, rich in red fruit aromas typical of the variety. Spicy notes, with hints of cherry and sour cherries in spirit. On the palate, it is velvety, harmonious, fresh, with vibrant acidity and a grand finish. It has significant structure and great persistence.

Grapes from estate-owned vineyards within the Nizza denomination. Yield, after careful thinning, not exceeding 65 quintals per hectare.

Espalier, Guyot pruning

 

VINIFICATION
Manual selection of the grapes. Harvest period: September. Fermentation and maceration at low temperature in contact with the skins for about 30 days, with pump-overs and délestage; final days under submerged cap.

 

AGEING
In 25- and 30-hl Austrian oak casks for about 24 months. Additional bottle ageing.
