An intensely garnet-red wine. Notes of red fruit, tobacco, pepper, and white flowers.

The entry is full, enveloping, and elegant, with soft, smooth tannins typical of the Cerretta cru. The finish is clean, persistent, and intense.

SOIL

Soils belonging to the Lequio formation, with white clays alternating with layers of calcareous sands

VINIFICATION

Manual selection of the grapes; harvest period: October.
Fermentation and maceration for about 40 days, with pump-overs and délestage; the final 20 days under submerged cap.

AGEING

Ageing in 25, 35, 40, or 50-hl Austrian oak casks for 18 to 30 months.
Further bottle ageing before release.
